Kern vs. Gleason Baseball Game

In 1936 a game was arraigned between two families with a history of playing excellent baseball.  The Gleason family of Millington played the Kern family of Frankenmuth/Richville.  Stories passed down from both families indicated that the game was highly skilled and well played.  The game is still remembered by both families and the baseball tradition of each is still alive today - being played by great-grandchildren.  Below is an article from the August 6, 1936 Frankenmuth News detailing the game.
