Buck, Terry and I hit a local lake on Dec 30.

Terry was the fisherman of the day, catching about 36 nice gills.

Mike attempts to pick a winner.

We took a field trip on January 12, 2008 to rid ourselves of cabin fever.

Joe and Frank stay warm on a rainy January day.

Mike displays a keeper perch - he caught 4 nice yellowbellys in an hour of fishing. Final score 15-3-2 with Buck the winner.

Mike and a northern pike. We fished the Sebewaing River at the harbor.

The perch hits were extremely light on this day. Sam and I fished at an extreme disadvantage as we had medium action rods.

Its no wonder that Mike caught more fish - he really tried!

Nick visited the Soque on Feb. 2. He and host Ken Selzer landed some huge rainbows on this day.

Nick's host is Ken Selzer, who originally hails from Caro. Ken is a very good flyfisherman - and here he displays a beautiful rainbow.

Nick battles a very large rainbow. Ken took these photos and the videos below.

This monster was landed and released after a long battle. See the 2008 Fishing Reports Page for the story.

A five pound - 21" Rainbow

At least someone has been getting out and fishing. Terry and Terry Jr. nailed some big gills.

This trip was Feb. 14. I believe these are 11" paper plates.

Very large gills. Terry was closed mouthed about the location, apparently with good reason.

One of Millington's best fisherman, Dick Hazel, landed this nice laker in Caseville. See Mr. Hazel's Report.

Nick hit the Chattooga on 2/23. No waders?

The trip was a combo Geo Cache and a little fishing. AJ & Nick pose with Gus.

No whoppers this time! The "Lucky Shirt" struck out.

Nick at Pig Pen Falls (you know you are in South Carolina with that name).

Buddy Greg Reetz and friends took a trip to Lake Simco 2/21 - 2/23. Here is a sample of an afternoon catch

Greg's setup at Simco. Greg said that they caught plenty of jumbo perch on this trip

Tour D'Thumb 2008. Joe, Sam & I head out at 8:00 am.

We met up with Ed and Frank at Sebewaing's Lamplighter for breakfast.

Joe joined us for the first time. I wonder what the thought of this trip?

Sammy made it "official" at Grindstone. Every traditional spot was locked in with ice.

Dale and Joe joined the group at Caseville. Dale was suffering from a cold, but hung in.

Sam gave it a shot in Caseville. There were a few lakers caught earlier in the day. We had no luck.
